250 Big Ones
Early Wednesday afternoon the Yankees swept a big division matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays, creating separation between the two, and jumping ahead 3.5 games in the AL East. The win not only gave them breathing room (for now) as the All-Star game approaches, but it was a milestone victory. Yankees veteran pitcher CC Sabathia got his 250th win, becoming only the 14th pitcher in MLB history with 250 wins and over 3,000 strikeouts.

DJ the MVP of the AL?
On January 14 th , 2019 the New York Yankees announced the signing
of an All Star infielder to a 2 year, $24 million dollar deal. It was DJ
LeMahieu, and not Manny Machado, who signed a much larger deal
with later in the off season with the San Diego Padres. Fan reaction to
LeMahieu’s signing was lukewarm.

What Does the Future Look Like for Clint Frazier?
Back on June 16, 2019, Yankees nation was shocked to learn that Clint Frazier was optioned to Triple-A in order to make room for Edwin Encarnacion. Many believed that Mike Tauchman was the first to go and that Frazier wouldn’t be sent back until Aaron Judge returned, some even thought the Yankees may even try to make room for Frazier.
