Who Should be Considered for the All-Star Game?

With voting in progress for the 2019 All-Start game, which of the Yankees players should earn a spot? Below are my thoughts on which Yankees players need to be considered.

Gary Sanchez:

In just 42 games this year The Kraken is the American League leader in home runs with 19, has already hit more homeruns this year than he did all of 2018, and he beat a home run record that was previously held by the one and only Yogi Berra.

Don’t Hit the Panic Button on the Yankees

This has been a rough week and a half for the Yankees. After losing the Sunday night game to the Red Sox 8-5, the Bombers were 38-20 and had won 9 straight series for the first time since 1998.

After an off day, they Yankees went North of the Border, where they managed to avoid being swept by taking the finale of the three game series. The Yankees then headed to Cleveland, and once again lost a series, but managed not to get swept by battling back to beat the Indians 7-6 in 10 innings.

Big Maple, What’s Going On?

During the offseason, the Yankees big time free agent signing was ace LHP James Paxton bolstering an already lethal bullpen. As the injuries continue to pull up in the rotation for the Bombers, Big Maple’s contribution is greatly required.

Paxton is coming off arguably his worst outing vs the Mets as he was pulled from the game in the third inning in a 10–4 loss in Tuesday’s doubleheader. It couldn’t come at a worse time as earlier in the week it was announced Domingo German, tied in the MLB in wins, was put on the IL with a strained left hip flexor muscle.
